Bacha Khan (1890–1988), also known as Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, was a prominent leader from the Pashtun region of the Indian subcontinent. He was a close ally of Mahatma Gandhi and strongly believed in nonviolence, even while opposing British colonial rule. Bacha Khan founded the Khudai Khidmatgar movement, which promoted peace, education, and social reform. He is remembered as a symbol of courage, unity, and peaceful resistance.
